A message from Tulku about our new 2017 online teachings
Dear Sangha,
I am looking forward to doing another online teaching, this time on the sacred text, The Flight of the Garuda. At the age of two, when I was enthroned in Pemakod by my first root master Tulku Dawa Rinpoche, he gave me this sacred text for the representation of enlightened speech as the part of the ceremony.
I used to like this text very much which I remember as being unusually small in size and quite decorated on its outer wooden frame which held the text together. I was very happy to have it with me.
Later, when I asked him why the text was much smaller than others, he said, “This sacred text is smaller because when the king of birds, the garuda, flies high in the infinite sky, this text is kept under its wings so it needs to be small.”
After receiving teachings based on this text on quite a few occasions, I’ve kept this text with me to this day and it has provided a great source of inspiration for my own spiritual practice. So, I am confident that if we discuss this subject together, it will yield some benefit for you as well.
With best wishes always,
Tulku.
