9th ANNUAL Mantra-thon

for World Peace & healing

with

Tulku Orgyen Rinpoche

September 27-29 2019

in

Santa Cruz

at

Wisdom Center

Now, more than any time in history, we are experiencing great social, political, and environmental upheaval, generating great uncertainty and fear about the future of our existence. Now is the time to engage in spiritual practice, and there is no more meaningful practice than reciting the Six Syllable Mantra of the Bodhisattva of Compassion Chenrezig - OM MANI PEME HUM - which is said to have the power to liberate all beings from their various sufferings.

The weekend will be devoted to chanting prayers to the Great Compassionate One, and recitating the Six Syllable Mantra, with the goal of collectively accumulating at least 1 million mantras, dedicated to universal peace and healing.

New this year, for the first time we are offering Live Streaming of the teachings, practice sessions and mantra recitation! All who register for the retreat will be emailed a Zoom link in the days leading up the event, which will give you access to the Live Stream.

No prior Buddhist experience is required. A vegetarian diet is recommended during the retreat, but not required.

Please pre-register at: odiyanaeventsc@gmail.com

Retreat with Tulku Orgyen P'huntsok
May 19-20, 2018
Celebration of Saga Dawa Month

PRE-REGISTRATION BY MAY 11TH REQUIRED FOR SATURDAY

One-Day Nyung Nay Retreat
Saturday May 19th 9 am-noon; 2-5 pm

Nyung Nay is a powerful healing practice of the Thousand
Arm Chenrezig. It is the ultimate practice for purification
from ordinary states of being to awakening and is also in
line with traditional rites of spring cleansing. Our natural
mind itself is pure; Nyung Nay purifies our mental impurities, our conflicting emotions, and dualistic view so we can gain a greater glimpse of wisdom. For 24 hours, one takes refuge, vows to fast and maintain silence, generates bodhicitta, as well as recites the Sadhana and Mantra of compassion.

While it is common for non-vegetarian practitioners
to abstain from meat for the full month of Saga Dawa,
Tulku Orgyen Rinpoche has specifically requested that all
participants maintain a vegetarian diet during this event.

Health permitting, please eat a light breakfast beforehand.
(no garlic, onions, meat nor eggs)

Ayurvedic vegetarian healing lunch provided. Staying on location recommended for maintaining awareness.
