Celebration of Saga Dawa Month
May 16th-June 13th, 2018
Special Dharma Programs at Odiyana Institute
in Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz
Dear Sangha and Friends,
As many of you know, Saga Dawa, the holiest month in the Buddhist calendar, is an important time for the practice of Dharma. During Saga Dawa, the Birth, Enlightenment, and Parinirvana of Lord Buddha Shakyamuni are all observed, and the results of all positive and negative actions are considered to be millions of times stronger. For this reason, during Saga Dawa, Buddhists all over the world make increased efforts to accumulate virtuous actions and gather together for group practices dedicated to the welfare of all sentient beings. This year, Saga Dawa begins on May 16 and concludes on June 13.
We welcome you and your friends to join our events in the month of Saga Dawa.
